Case Study

Problem:

CONSOL Energy was starting a new Gas Operations Rotation Program and needed branding to go with this new endeavor. The program encompasses classroom technical training, field rotations and professional development for new hires. CONSOL Energy’s E3 Program stands for: Engineering, Exposure and Experience. We needed to stick with the traditional black and red CONSOL-esque look, and tie in those three words with something that represents gas ops, as well.


Solution:

The Letter “E” and number “3” have a very similar look to them. In the CONSOL logo font the “E” is the most distinguished letter as well. This was a good starting going for the branding mark. The mark gives an innovative look. Playing off the E to the third power, with the CONSOL branding in tact, the E3 identity was born.
